Army Establishes COVID Management Cell To Help Civil Authorities

In an effort to assist civil authorities in COVID-related work, the Indian Army has set up a special cell overseen by the Vice Chief of Army Staff. Reportedly, the cell will monitor staffing, logistics and boost operational efficiency of COVID care centres. Moreover, the Army has also deployed medical assistance, including doctors, nursing staff and paramedics, at several COVID centres throughout the country.

Relatives Vandalise ICU Ward After Woman Dies Of COVID-19

The Ahmedabad Police has arrested three men for allegedly vandalizing COVID-19 ICU ward of a civil hospital. Reportedly, the men committed the violence after their relative 45-year-old Reena Yadav died on April 12 due to COVID-19 complications. They allegedly chased the medical staff with sticks and broke the equipment. As per the police, the men even tried to set the ward on fire after breaking the spirit bottles.
