CBSE Term-II Exam Notification Issued, Offline Exams From April 26
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released term-II exam dates for class 10 and 12, to be held from April 26. On February 9, the board released the notice, conducting offline exams as per sample paper pattern for subjective exams. Term-I was conducted last year, and results are expected on February 10. Furthermore, a detailed date sheet would soon be released on the official website of the CBSE, cbse.gov.in.

SC Denies 'Hybrid Mode' Plea For Class 10 & 12 CBSE, CISCE Exams
The Supreme Court on November 18, refused to provide a "hybrid mode", for the class 10 and 12 examinations, stating that it is better to not "disturb the process" at this stage. The apex court confirmed that CBSE term one board exams have commenced from November 16, while CISCE board exams will commence from November 22. Also, the CBSE offline examination centres have been increased from 6,500 to 15,000.

SC Condemns Andhra Govt's Decision To Hold Class XII Exams
The Supreme Court questioned the Andhra Pradesh government for holding class XII exams amid the new variant - 'delta plus'. "It may order compensation amounting to Rs 1 crore," the SC added. About 21 states have canceled the state board exams amid concerns over the rising COVID-19 cases in the country. However, the central board (CBSE) has also refuted holding the exams and hearing will continue on June 25.

Assam To Conduct Class 12 Board Examination In July-August
The Assam government on June 10 stated that the board examination for class 12 will be conducted in July-August. Besides, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has indicated about the increase in the number of examination centres to ensure COVID-appropriate behaviour. Earlier, the exams were scheduled to start from May 11 but were postponed due to the second COVID-19 wave.
