Closure

At least 100 students at Govt Medical College, Patiala, tested COVID-19 positive, on January 4. To curb the spread of the virus, students were asked to vacate hostels. Notably, Patiala is one of the worst-hit places in Punjab, as it, along with Pathankot report 50% cases of state's total COVID-19 cases.  Meanwhile, in view of the COVID-19 situation, the Punjab government is mulling to close schools, college, and educational institutions.
