Truck-Car Collision Leaves Five Dead In Rajasthan's Nagaur District

Five people, including three women and two men, died after a car rammed into a truck on a highway in Rajasthan's Nagaur district on August 7, the police officials said. Condoling the loss of the deceased, Rajstahan's CM Ashok Gehlot tweeted, ''The death of five people in a road accident in Kuchanman City area of?? Nagaur is extremely sad.'' Meanwhile, Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal also extended his sympathy.

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot Tests COVID Positive, Under Isolation

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has tested positive for COVID-19. Taking to Twitter on April 29, CM Gehlot tweeted, "I have tested positive for COVID-19. I am asymptomatic and feel fine. I will continue working in isolation following the COVID protocol." Earlier on April 28, his wife had tested positive for COVID-19 and the CM, since then, was under isolation. Reportedly, Rajasthan now has 1,63,372 active cases.

Rajasthan Rolls Mediclaim Scheme; Becomes 1st To Provide Insurance For All

Rajasthan became the first state to offer health insurance to all its residents on April 1. The state achieved the feat after launching registrations under the 'Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme' provisioned in the 2021-22 budget. Offering a cashless mediclaim of Rs five lakh, the pan state scheme will cover every family in the state. CM Ashok Gehlot tweeted, “It is one of our biggest health care schemes”.

Major Bureaucratic Rejig in Rajasthan; Govt Shuffles 288 Officials

Night Curfew In Rajasthan Ahead Of New Year; Parties Banned

Following Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and others, the Rajasthan government has imposed a night curfew during the new year's eve. Reportedly, the order will apply for cities with a population over one lakh. Moreover, the state has banned new year parties and bursting firecrackers in the state during celebrations. Rajasthan Government Loses Support from 2 BTP MLAs

The Congress government in Rajasthan has lost the support of two Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) MLAs on December 11. The MLAs have accused that the Ashok Gehlot-led government did not support them in the panchayat elections. Earlier, the MLAs had extended support to the CM Gehlot when Congress' Sachin Pilot had rebelled. Reportedly, out of 4,371 local body seats, BJP has won 1,812 seats followed by Congress with 1,695 seats.

After Punjab, Rajasthan Assembly Introduces Farm Bills to Nullify Centre's Farm Laws

Amid farmers protest,  Rajasthan government placed three bills in State Assembly to nullify the Centre’s farm law. On the first day of Assembly session minister Shanti Dhariwal introduced the bills.
