Karnataka To Have India's First Marian To Boost Coastal Tourism

In order to boost coastal tourism in Karnataka, the BJP-led State Government is going to construct India's first Marina which will be constructed at Byndoor in the Udupi district. On February 26, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai confirmed the same and said, " it is proposed to take up beach tourism in coastal areas and pilgrim tourism." The decision was taken after seeking all the necessary permission from the GoI.

Karnataka CM Assures Legislation To Mandate Kannada Language

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said his government is bringing in a legislation to make Kannada "mandatory" in the State. On the Hindi Divas, September 14, Bommai said the announcement, which is expected to be after protest from the locals. Kannada activists have been demanding for many years now for full implementation of Kannada as the administrative language, which is now being considered by BJP-led State Government.

Bengaluru Makes Masks Mandatory In Public Places Amid Rising Covid-19 Cases

Due to a surge in Covid-19 cases in Bengaluru, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike made masks mandatory in public areas on June 6 and declared that coronavirus testing will be increased from 16,000 to 20,000 per day. The Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said, after reviewing the report of the Education Minister, the BJP-led Karnataka Government will take action over the textbook controversy. SC Announce Judgement In Loud Speakers Row, Asks To Obey Orders

In Gayathri Peetha Mutt's organized program, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai announced to obey SC orders in Loudspeaker Row. Notably, on May 10, the Supreme Court issued an order on the use of loudspeakers in public places, asking governments to obey it.  In regard to this, CM Bommai said action will be taken to implement it in a cordial manner. Youth Dies Due To Electrocution, CM Bommai Assures Action: Karnataka

According to the Sanjaynagar Police station, a person died due to an electric shock by a broken electric wire in the park near Sanjaynagar on April 26. After having a virtual meeting with PM Narendra Modi Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said actions will be taken against the official responsible for the mishap. CM also assured that compensation would be given to the kin of youth who died due to electrocution.
