Harbhajan Singh Alerts Illegal Activities By Office Bearers, Writes Letter To PCA
Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh, who is Punjab Cricket Association's chief advisor, has alleged that "illegal activities" are being carried out by certain office-bearers in the state body. On October 7, Harbhajan, though, didn't mention the name of the office-bearers in his letter, which was sent to PCA members and district units of the body. Furthermore, the former Indian skipper also informed the same to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann.

Punjab CM Expresses Condolences To Sikh Family Killing In California, Demands Probe
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann expressed grief over the killing of an Indian-origin Sikh family in California and urged the Centre to take up the matter with the US authorities. He also demanded a thorough probe in kidnapping and murder incident, which shook the nation. Notably, bodies of Jasdeep Singh (39), his wife Jasleen Kaur (27), their eight-month-old daughter Aroohi Dheri and Jasdeep's brother Amandeep Singh (39) were found in an orchard.

Padma Shree Awardees Filed Rajya Sabha Nomination On AAP Ticket: Punjab
Two Padma Shree Awardees, environmental activist Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal, and philanthropist Vikramjit Singh Sahney filed their nominations as Rajya Sabha members on May 29. The two filed their nominations on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ticket in Punjab. State CM Bhagwant Man expressed happiness to nominate Padma Shri Awardees. Notably, the term of two Rajya Sabha members Ambika Soni and Balwinder Singh Bhunder is to end on July 4.

Sacked Punjab Minister Vijay Singla Sent For 14-Days Judicial Custody
Former Punjab Health Minister and AAP leader Vijay Singla have been remanded 14-days of judicial custody. On May 27, a Mohali Court granted custody in corruption charges. The judgment came after he was produced before the court for demanding 1% commission for projects in Punjab misusing his position. Notably, Singla was arrested by the anti-corruption branch and was sacked from the cabinet ministry by CM Bhagwant Mann.
