Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar on December 10, said that offering namaz in public places will not be tolerated. "I have told the police to resolve the issue. There is no problem with people offering namaz at their designated place... The issue will be resolved amicably," he mentioned. However, Gurugram administration withdrew its permission to offer namaz at eight out of 37 sites in November.
Thousands of farmers have protested against the three controversial farm laws by gathering outside the residence of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal khattar on October 2. Meanwhile, police, developed with tear gas vehicles, tried to disperse them using water cannons. On the occasion of World Car Free day, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar rode a bicycle with his colleagues and MLAs from his residence to the secretariat in Chandigarh on September 22. Khattar also said his government would soon launch an electric vehicle policy and will give subsidies on EVs to protect the environment from being polluted.
