BJP Wins 20 Seats, Marks Majority In Goa Assembly Elections 2022

The Goa Assembly elections are major win for the BJP, as it secured 20 assembly seats, of the total 40 seats. The results were announced by the ECI, on March 10, after several rounds of vote counting. While the BJP secured 20 seats, the INC won 10 seats in Goa. However, with the majority seats, Pramod Sawant is all set to retain power and form the BJP Government in Goa.

Tata Hands 1st Batch Of Tigor EVs To Goa's Renewable Energy Dept

Tata Motors has collaborated with the Department of New and Renewable Energy (DNRE) to station Tigor EVs in Goa under the Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (ESSL) tender. Goa CM Pramod Sawant Withdraws IIT Campus Proposal At Shel-Melauli

Bowing to public opposition, Goa CM Pramod Sawant on January 15  withdrew the proposal to construct the Indian Institute of Technology's (IIT) Goa campus at the Shel-Melauli village. Reportedly, the government will be establishing the IIT Campus at another location. Besides, the CM clarified the move was not an election stunt. Earlier, Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane had written to the CM requesting a revocation of the proposal.

Goa: Historical Jail At Aguada To Be Developed As Tourist Spot

Goa's historic Aguada Jail is being renovated into a tourist spot under the Centre's Swadesh Darshan Scheme. The Portuguese-era structure, which is a part of the historic Aguada Fort, will harbour a museum honouring the state's liberation struggle. Besides, two special cells will be dedicated to freedom fighters T B Cunha and Ram Manohar Lohia. Goa CM Pramod Sawant stated the revamp is expected to be completed by March.

Goa Govt To Introduce "Coffee With CM" Initiative To Engage With Youth
