45 Dead, Several Missing After Bus Falls Into Canal In MP's Sidhi

Madhya Pradesh: 2 New MLAs Re-inducted In Shivraj Chouhan's Cabinet
Inducting two supporters of Jyotiraditya Scindia - Tulsiram Silawat and Govind Rajput - Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan expanded his Cabinet on January 3. Reportedly, this is the third expansion of the Cabinet since Shivraj assumed power. Earlier, both Tulsiram and Govind had been inducted into the Cabinet in April also; however, they quit in October due to delayed by-polls. Currently, the MP Cabinet has 31 ministers.

Madhya Pradesh Govt Suspends Classes for Grade 1-8 Till March 2021
MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, in a review meeting, decided to suspend classes for standard 1-8 till March 31, 2021, and evaluate students on the basis of assignments. Besides, while classes for grades 10 and 12 will likely resume soon, students of classes 9 and 11 can only be called once or twice a week. The CM also emphasized that private schools can charge only tuition fees for the period they were closed.

Madhya Pradesh Allows Bursting Crackers, Bars Those Having Deities' Image
The Madhya Pradesh government on November 9 said that it would not ban crackers but will bar only the sale of Chinese firecrackers. Announcing the decision, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted, "Madhya Pradesh is a state of happiness, we never ban happiness here." He also added that the sales or purchase of firecrackers having pictures of deities were "completely banned" in the state.
