Assam CM Himanta Sarma Expands Council Of Ministers, Inducts 2 Legislators From His Party
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma officially expanded his council of ministers, by inducting two members from his party. This is the first time since BJP-led coalition government was elected back to power in Assam, in 2021. Reportedly, Sarma inducted two legislators from his party and reshuffled the portfolios of some ministers. With this, the strength of the council of ministers has gone up by 16.

Belgium: Alexander De Croo to Take Charge As Prime Minister
Alexander De Croo will take charge as the Prime Minister of Belgium on October 1, about 21 months after the former government collapsed. Reportedly, leaders from seven coalition parties met on September 30 and chose De Croo to lead the government. Paul Magnette, one of the leaders in the coalition said, "We flipped a coin and it came down to Alexander and it's an excellent choice."
