Schools and colleges in West Bengal are likely to reopen post-Durga Puja vacations depending on the Covid-19 situation, stated CM Mamata Banerjee on August 5. Schools, Colleges & Universities To Reopen With 50% Attendance: Bihar
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on July 5 announced that schools, colleges, and universities will reopen with 50% attendance. He tweeted that special arrangements will be made for vaccinating adult students, teachers, and staff of the institution. Government Training Institutes will also reopen with 50% attendance. Earlier, due to the second wave, the Bihar government had announced summer vacations for the institutes from May 1 to June 30.

Karanataka To Resume Regular College Classes From January 14

Schools And Colleges To Remain Shut: Tamil Nadu Government
After opinions from parents, the Tamil Nadu government has withdrawn the earlier announcements and has postponed the opening of colleges and schools for Classes 9 to 12. Earlier, the government had announced the re-opening of higher educational institutions from November 16. However, from December 2, colleges will re-open for PhD students and final year PG students from science and technical streams as per the UGC guidelines.

AICTE Postpones Commencement Of Engineering Courses; To Begin From Dec 1
The academic session for the first-year students of technical courses will now begin from December 1. Earlier, it was expected to be commenced from November 1.
