A Special NDPS Act court in Mumbai has rejected the Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) plea seeking cancellation of the bail of comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbhachiya in a drug case. VV Patil, special judge for cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act rejected the plea, amid lack of evidence. In a shocking incident, a Chinese comedy group has been fined 14.7 million yuan ($2.1 million; £1.7 million) for making a joke about the military that referenced a slogan used by President Xi Jinping. Comedian Raju Srivastav has passed away at the age of 58, as informed by his family, on September 21. Reportedly, Srivastav experienced chest ache and collapsed to the ground during a workout, on August 10. Following which, he underwent angioplasty on the same day. Srivastav entered the entertainment industry in the 80s, and has been featured in films like ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ and ‘Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon’.

"The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" fame comedian Raju Srivastava has been admitted to AIIMS, Delhi after he suffered a heart attack. As per reports, Srivastava (58) suffered a heart attack, while he was working out at the gym, on August 10, morning. After hours, doctors confirmed it to be a mild heart attack and said he will be under observation for a couple of days, before being discharged.
