Munawar Faruqui To Perform In Kolkata, Shares On Twitter

After denied show in Bengaluru, Comedian Munawar Faruqui, who bid goodbye to comedy, is to perform in Kolkata, West Bengal. The stand-up comedian, on December 19, took to Twitter and shared link to book the show scheduled on January 16, 2022.  Comedy act named "Dhando" will be the first show of Munawar after cancellation of shows in Bengaluru. Tickets are available on 'Book My Show' worth Rs 799 and onwards.

Comedian Munawar Faruqui Bids Goodbye, Says Hate Won & Artist Lost

Comedian Munawar Faruqui bids goodbye after his 12th show got canceled in the past 2 months, including the latest in Bengaluru. In his Instagram post, on November 28, Munawar wrote, "Nafrat jeet Gayi, artist har Gya (Hate won, artist lost) I'm done. Goodbye. Injustice." Earlier in 2021, Faruqui spent a month in jail, for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus, insulting God and goddesses, in one of his shows.

Kannada Actor-Comedian Shankar Rao Passes Away At 88

Shankar Rao, who is a well-known Kannada actor and comedian, passed away at the age of 88 due to age-related issues at his home on October 18. Rao has worked in more than a hundred Kannada films for over three decades with many stars such as Vishnuvardan, Shankar Nag, Dwarkeesh, Shivaraj Kumar, and others. Meanwhile, members of Sandalwood also expressed their grief over Shankar Rao's death.

Reportedly, NCB seized 86.5 grams of ganja after a search operation at their production office and residence.
