Comedian Munawar Faruqui bids goodbye after his 12th show got canceled in the past 2 months, including the latest in Bengaluru. In his Instagram post, on November 28, Munawar wrote, "Nafrat jeet Gayi, artist har Gya (Hate won, artist lost) I'm done. Goodbye. Injustice." Earlier in 2021, Faruqui spent a month in jail, for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus, insulting God and goddesses, in one of his shows.

Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja is angry at the actor-comedian Krushna Abhishek after he skipped "The Kapil Sharma Show" when the couple made an appearance. Interestingly, it's not the first time Krushna opted out. In an interview, she gave a heated reaction and said, "she doesn't want to see his face ever". She also stated the old issues between Krushna and his uncle (Govinda), which is not resolved yet. 

Quashing rumors about replacing Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show, actor-comedian Tiffany Haddish has stated that she has not received any such offer. Often seen as a guest or host on the show, Haddish said she has been "popping-up guest hosting 'Ellen' is because she [DeGeneres] wanted a few days off from work." Notably, the actor-comedian's name has been the most discussed among those suspected to take over 'Ellen'.

The Supreme Court on February 5 permitted ad-interim bail to comedian Munawar Faruqui who was arrested for purportedly offending religious sentiments of Hindus. Hasan Minaj's talk show "Patriot Act" which was launched in 2018, has been cancelled by Netflix. Minhaj shared the news on Twitter, expressing his gratitude to all those who worked on it. The show ran for six season, and was hosted by the comedian himself. "Patriot Act" was known for its searing and deep commentary on a wide range of news topics and for being one of the few shows of its own kind.
