Neeraj Chopra Pulls Out Of 2022 Commonwealth Games Due To Injury
According to the most recent sources, Neeraj Chopra, the gold medallist from the Tokyo Olympics, will not compete in the 2022 Commonwealth Games owing to an injury. Neeraj was India's greatest chance to win gold at the Birmingham Games, having most recently earned the silver medal at the World Athletics Championship 2022. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Neeraj earned the gold medal in the javelin throw competition.

Australia's Victoria To Host 2026 Commonwealth Games
It has been announced that the Australian state of Victoria would be hosting the 2026 Commonwealth Games. It is a word-first, as no other state has had the honour of hosting the event so far in history. India's Punam Yadav Wins Silver In Weightlifting: Commonwealth Games
In the ongoing Commonwealth weightlifting championships 2021, India's Punam Yadav won the silver medal in the 76kg category. Punam lifted a toral of 220kg. R Arockia Alish, a former gold medalist, clinched the bronze medal for a total lift of 214kg. Canada's Maya Laylor bagged the covenant gold medal for a total lift of 229kg.

Indian Weightlifter Sanket Mahadev Sargar, brings gold at Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship, on December 8. He set a national record with his best lift of 113 kgs. Sanket Mahadev won the medal representing India in "Men's 55 kg Snatch Category" at Commonwealth Games in Uzbekistan. TTFI Appoints Panel To Probe Against Gold Winner Soumyadeep Roy
The Table Tennis Federation of India has appointed a five-member inquiry panel to investigate a match-fixing allegation of Manika Batra against Soumyadeep Roy, National coach & CWG gold medallist. Reportedly, Manika didn't take Roy's help in any campaign of the Tokyo Olympics when he advised her to throw a match during Olympics in March. However, the panel has been asked to submit a report within six weeks to Chairman.
