Manipur Fresh Violence: 3 Died In Clashes Between Kuki & Meitei Communities

Fresh violence broke out in the Manipur region after a clash broke out between Kuki and Meitei communities. The clashes occurred in the early hours of August 5, killed three people and left houses burnt. Furthermore, the deceased were identified as Yumnam Pishak Meitei (67) and his son Yumnam Premkumar Meitei (39) and a neighbour Yumnam Jiten Meitei (46.) The victims belonged to the Meitei community in the Kwakta district.

Hate & Violence Weakening Country, Rahul Gandhi

Section 144 Imposed In Rajasthan's Karauli Amid Communal Violence

Authorities imposed a curfew and the internet was also shut down in Rajasthan’s Karauli, on April 2. In addition, restrictions have been imposed due to communal clashes in the area. About two dozen people were injured in the violence while 30 people were detained, informed Additional Director General of Police. Notably, CM Ashok Gehlot appealed to contribute and play a constructive role in building peace and development in the state.
