Sikh Organisation SGPC Turns 100; Celebrations At Golden Temple
Sikh organisation Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) on November 15 celebrated its 100th anniversary. The centenary was celebrated at the Akal Takht in Golden Temple, Amritsar. The SGPC, notified under Sikh Gurudwara Act, 1925, looks after the management of gurudwaras in India while running world's largest community kitchen, langar, which feeds lakhs every day.
