The breakdown of a crane used in metro construction work resulted in traffic snarls and blockades on LBS road in Bhandup, leading to commuters' suffering delays. Many commuters took to Twitter to complain about the mismanagement. The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) launched the trial run of the Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ Metro line-3 at Sariput Nagar in Aarey Colony, Maharashtra. On August 30, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis flagged off the trial run at 11:00 am, which came as a relief to commuters in the area. LocalCircles, a community social media platform conducted a survey about people’s travel preferences post Covid-19, during the upcoming festive season. It has been revealed that only 19% of Indians are open to traveling in the period of October-December. The survey was conducted on 25,000 people across 239 districts. Also, those willing to travel in this period would prefer to do the bookings close to the travel dates, the survey found.
