PM Modi Announces Rs 2 Lakh Ex-Gratia For Kota Road Accident Victims

PM Narendra Modi, on February 21, announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the families, who lost their kin in the Kota road accident. In addition, he also announced Rs 50,000 to injured under the PM National Relief Fund (PMNRF).  Modi took to his Twitter and expressed condolences to the families of the victims. On February 20, nine people died after their car fell in Chambal river, Kota,Rajasthan.

Rahul Demands Rs 4 Lakh Compensation For Covid Victims Families

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi raised the Covid-19 compensation issue and demanded Rs 4 lakh for victims' families from the Centre. He posted a video on Twitter and urged the government to give figures of people who died due to Covid-19 and release the compensation amount. He added saying the government should end the suffering of families who lost their kin due to the virus and provide financial assistance.

Chinese Companies Haven't Paid Lao Workers For 6 Years: Report

Workers of the Laos community hired by the Chinese companies did not pay wages for six years.  According to reports, workers were hired by the subcontractor of the Namtha 1 Power Company, on a project to construct homes, health centers, offices, roads, and schools, for the people, displaced due to the construction of a dam. "I built a health center five years ago and still haven't been paid", said a worker.

Bihar Govt To Give Rs 2 Lakh Aid For Kin Of Who Died In UK Rain

In the latest development, Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar on October 23 announced that his government will provide the compensation of Rs 2 lakh each for the families of Bihar who died in the recent Uttarakhand rains. Reportedly, 10 people from Bihar's West Champaran district lost their lives in the rains. While announcing the compensation, Kumar said, ''The resident commissioner is in constant touch with the state government.''

Yogi Govt To Give 50k Compensation To Families Of COVID-19 Victims

In the biggest relief to the bereaved families of COVID-19, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on October 17 announced to provide a compensation of Rs 50,000 to the victim family in the state. Issuing the detailed guideline about financial relief, CM Yogi also directed the officials to ensure every eligible family gets the compensation. Reportedly, district magistrates in the state will supervise the work.

Bihar Govt Allots Rs 660 Cr To Compensate Farmers' Loss

The Bihar government under the leadership of Nitish Kumar has decided to compensate farmers who lost their crops due to rainfall and waterlogging. The Bihar cabinet approved Rs 550 crore for farmers who lost their standing crop and Rs 100 crores for those who couldn't even sow this Kharif season. UP Govt To Provide Rs 45 Lakh As Compensation To Lakhimpur Farmers

In the latest development of the Lakhimpur violence case, the Uttar Pradesh government has on October 4 said that the compensation of Rs 45 lakh and a government job would be provided to the bereaved families of four farmers who died during the protest. Moreover, the injured ones will receive Rs 10 lakh. Reportedly, around eight people lost their lives among which four of them were BJP workers.

Govt Has To Compensate Farmers For Loss Due To Rain: Telangana HC

The Telangana High Court ordered the state government in its verdict, on September 28, to compensate the farmers for their crop-loss due to heavy rains and floods in October 2020. Reportedly, a PIL was filed by S Ashalatha of the Rythu Swarajya Vedika (RSV), Vissa Kirankumar, Kenneganti Ravi in November 2020. However, RSV welcomed the judgment and said the government should also provide compensation for this year's loss.
