Rahul Gandhi Visits Bangalore To Meet State Leaders: Karnataka

Amid Hijab row, restriction of non-Hindu traders inside temple premises and halal meet row in the state of Karnataka, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reached Bangalore. Gandhi, in his two-day visit, is scheduled to visit the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee office and organise meeting with the state leaders. He is also expected to discuss strategy ahead of the assembly polls in 2023.

Person Injured In BJP-Congress Clash, Complaint Filed

In South Goa, a person identified as Pradeep Mayekar, father of a BJP worker, was seriously injured amid BJP-Congress clash, after election results on Holi. On March 19, police registered cross complaints and deployed police for law & order. Notably, Goa CM Pramod Sawant visited Chicalim Hospital to see the patient and uploaded pictures on Facebook. "I have asked the police to take strict action against the culprits," said Sawant.

Navjot Singh Sidhu Resigns As Punjab Congress Chief Following Defeat In Punjab Polls

Congress president Sonia Gandhi asked the party chiefs of the states to put in their papers, following Congress' defeat in the Punjab assembly polls. Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu submitted his resignation to Sonia Gandhi, on March 16. Punjab won 19 seats in the 117-member assembly, while AAP won 92 seats. Many of the Congress leaders blamed the infighting among party chiefs for the defeat.
