Amid Hijab row, restriction of non-Hindu traders inside temple premises and halal meet row in the state of Karnataka, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reached Bangalore. Gandhi, in his two-day visit, is scheduled to visit the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee office and organise meeting with the state leaders. He is also expected to discuss strategy ahead of the assembly polls in 2023.

In South Goa, a person identified as Pradeep Mayekar, father of a BJP worker, was seriously injured amid BJP-Congress clash, after election results on Holi. On March 19, police registered cross complaints and deployed police for law & order. Notably, Goa CM Pramod Sawant visited Chicalim Hospital to see the patient and uploaded pictures on Facebook. Karnataka's Member of the Legislative Council of Congress CM Ibrahim resigned from the party and is likely to join Janata Dal (Secular) next week. Ibrahim has sent his resignation letter to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi. Furthermore, Ibrahim was disappointed for not making him the leader of the Opposition in the legislative council. "A junior, BK Hariprasad, was made the leader when the majority of the MLCs supported me," said Ibrahim.

Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and Uttarakhand former CM Harish Rawat held a meeting ahead of the counting of votes in the state, on March 9. Several leaders of Congress along with Rawat and Baghel attended the meeting at Hotel Madhuban. Notably, during the meeting Congress leaders discussed the future course action, after counting of votes. The Uttarakhand elections was held on February 14, and results are on March 10.
