Rahul Demands Rs 4 Lakh Compensation For Covid Victims Families

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi raised the Covid-19 compensation issue and demanded Rs 4 lakh for victims' families from the Centre. He posted a video on Twitter and urged the government to give figures of people who died due to Covid-19 and release the compensation amount. He added saying the government should end the suffering of families who lost their kin due to the virus and provide financial assistance.

Rahul Gandhi Alleges Corruption Of Rs 254 Cr In Jan Dhan Accounts

Citing a media report, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the BJP government alleging corruption in the transfer of money in Jan Dhan accounts on Twitter on November 22. The report stated the State Bank of India charged Rs 17.70 from each account holder and collected a total of Rs 254 crore between 2017 and September 2020. ''Who is responsible for keeping the accounts of these monies?,'' tweeted Rahul.

Goa Forward Party Working President Leaves Party; Blames Congress

Kiran Kandolkar, working president of Goa Forward Party, left the party ahead of the upcoming state Assembly election on November 20. Reportedly, Kondolkar dessert the party due to speculation over an alliance of the party with the Congress for the election. Senior Congress Leaders Resign In J&K Due To 'Negligence'

Many senior Congress leaders of the Jammu and Kashmir Unit submitted their resignations to AICC president Sonia Gandhi after being sidelined for the party affairs. The development is a big jolt to the party ahead of the unannounced Assembly elections in the state. Leaders such as Ghulam Nabi Monga, Anwar Bhat, Waqar Rasool and Naresh Gupta resigned. They are close to senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, reported UNI.

Congress Not To Fight UP Polls In Alliance, Says Priyanka Gandhi

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi on November 14 said that her party will not contest in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election on all 403 seats in alliance with any party. She made the announcement at the Pratigya Sammelan -- Lakshya 2022 in Anoopshahr. Priyanka also advised the party workers to be active on social media platforms. Congress To Start 'Jan Jagran Abhiyan' To Highlight The 'Voice Of Poor'

The Congress is set to organise "Jan Jagran Abhiyan", a national awareness programme, which will start from November 14 and will end on November 29. Two Congress Leaders Desert Party To Join BJP In Manipur

Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Manipur, Congress leader Rajkumar Imo Singh and Yamthong Haokip deserted the party to join BJP on November 8. Both the leaders joined the party in presence of senior BJP leader Sarbananda Sonowal and Manipur BJP in-charge Sambit Patra. They expressed their confidence in BJP's win in the elections.
