UN’s Global Biodiversity Outlook Report Leaked, Suggests 8 Reforms
UN's Global Biodiversity Outlook 5 (GBO-5) report, to be released on September 15, has been leaked. The leaked report showed that none of the 20 'Aichi Biodiversity Targets' have been achieved. Tamil Nadu Forest Authorities to Carry Study on Elephants in Coonoor Area
Tamil Nadu Forest department in association with WWF-India will study elephants on the Coonoor ghat stretch. Authorities say this will help them know more about elephant’s habitat range along Coonoor hill area. Reportedly, forest officials will study the seasonality of movement, habitat entry points and the fodder that makes the elephants climb the slopes.
