Byju's & Its Ambassador Shah Rukh Khan Asked To Return Student's Money

Madhya Pradesh district consumer court panel issued a notice to Byju's and its ambassador Shah Rukh Khan, to return money and pay compensation to students. Hearing the complaint of a woman Priyanka Dikshit, who said that she enrolled with the ed-tech platform to get coaching for IAS preparation, and had paid Rs 1.18 lakhs, but got no coaching from Byju's. She further said, despite promises, Byju's failed to refund fees.

Doctors Cannot Be Held Guilty Of Negligence If Patient Dies: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court on November 30 said if a patient didn't survive, the doctor cannot be held guilty of medical negligence. It said while observing an order of a Consumer Court, in which it ordered Bombay hospital and Medical Research Centre to pay Rs 14.18 lakh to the deceased patients' family for unsuccessful surgeries. The Court also added that no professional can assure a patient's life after a surgical procedure.

Consumer Forum Directs 'Make My Trip' To Pay Rs 45k As Compensation

A Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum-II in Hyderabad ordered ''Make My Trip'' to pay over Rs 45,000, as it failed to provide the promised amount to the complainant under its ''Best Price Guarantee'' scheme. The scheme promises to refund five times the excess amount of the airfare if a customer finds the lower price within 24 hours on other India-based platforms. The Forum also termed the company's defense as ''flimsy''.

Woman Seeks Rs 1-Cr Compensation For Getting Non-Veg Pizza
