Conviction Rate

In a landmark move, the Delhi police department has made forensic investigation mandatory for those cases that attract a minimum of six years jail term. Notably, the move of making forensic investigation “mandatory and legal”, is expected to increase the conviction rate in cases. A senior officer of the union ministry of home affairs stated that Delhi has become the first state to do so.
