Pakistan Election Body Disqualified Pak Ex PM Imran Khan
In another setback to jailed former Pakistan PM Imran Khan, Pakistan's top election body disqualified him for five years following his conviction in a Toshikhana Gift Corruption Case. In a notification issued on August 8, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said that the Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was disqualified after being found guilty of corrupt practices under Section 167 of the Elections Act, 2017.

Congress To Move Supreme Court In 2019 Defamation Case
Rahul Gandhi, the Indian National Congress (INC) leader decided to move to the Supreme Court, challenging the Gujarat High Court. Notably, on July 7, the Gujarat High Court (HC) rejected his plea, seeking suspension of his 2 year conviction in the 2019 Modi Surname Defamation Case. "There is one more option before us... the Supreme Court. Let's see," says AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal.

Rahul Gandhi Challenges Conviction In Modi Surname Defamation Case
The Rahul Gandhi conviction intensified as the Indian National Congress leader will challenge the conviction of the Surat Court in the Modi Surname row. In a statement, Gandhi filed a petition, asking the sessions court to set aside the Magistrate's order convicting him in the defamation case.
