45,083 New Cases, 460 Deaths Reported In Last 24 Hours In India

As the third wave of deadly Covid-19 begins, India logged the single highest number of cases with 45,083 and 460 deaths in the last 24 hours. Kerala remains the state with the highest number of cases reported at 32,801. While the overall numbers have crossed the three-crore mark, the death toll stands at 4.37 lakhs, Union Health Ministry informed. The active cases have risen to 1.13%.

COVID-19: Black Fungus Cases In Recovered Patients Increase

Delhi's top doctors have observed a noticeable spike in the number of fungal infections, known as mucormycosis, among COVID-recovered patients suffering from ailments like diabetes, kidney, or heart failure. They urged patients to report symptoms like swelling in the eyes or cheeks and black crusts in the nose. Moreover, it is suspected that the black fungus is caused by the steroids used in the COVID treatment.

Central Govt To Provide Oxygen Supply At Hospitals Under PM Cares Fund

Schools In Bihar To Re-Open In January For Senior Secondary Students

Schools in Bihar including both government and private, are set to re-open for the students of class IX to XII from January 4. The Government has resolved to distribute 73 lakh face-masks at the government schools. According to the data revealed by the Education Department, the total number of students enrolled for class IX to XII is around 36.61 lakh.
