Top Indian-American CEOs Join Global Task Force To Help India
Globally-known Indian-American CEOs, including Sundar Pichai of Google, Punit Renjen of Deloitte, and Adobe's Shantanu Narayen, on May 6 joined the Global Task Force on Pandemic Response. PM Modi Donates Over Rs 2 Lakh from Personal Savings in PM Cares Fund
PM Modi is said to have donated Rs 2.25 lakh from his personal savings towards the initial corpus of the PM Cares Fund. The information surfaced after the Fund's audit report was made public. With this, PM Modi's contributions to various social welfare programs now exceed over Rs 103 crore, which was arranged collectively from PM Modi's personal savings and amounts raised from auctioning his mementos and gifts.

KSRTC to Cut Down Unnecessary Costs, Pay Salaries to Their Employees
Karnataka Government on September 1 released a relief package of Rs 423 crore for the Road Transport Corporations (RTC), and instructed them to pay salaries and not to buy new buses. The RTCs, which nosedived owing to the lockdown, had requested funds to pay salaries to their employees. The RTCs are also directed to cut down unnecessary posts. Low ridership even after the services were restored, affected their revenue.
