No Communication Regarding Permission For 2-Dose Regimen Of ZyCoV-D: Zydus Life

Zydus Life has clarified that there has been no official communication regarding permission for the two-dose regimen of the needle-less ZyCoV-D vaccine. ZyCov-D, an indigenous DNA-plasmid-based vaccine against Sars-Cov-2, was given emergency use authorisation for restricted use last year by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO). The three-dose vaccine was found to be over 66% effective in the third phase clinical trial.

PGI Chandigarh To Study Covid-19 Vaccine Mixing

The PGI Chandigarh has got the approval of the drug regulator of India to study the mixing of Covid-19 vaccines. The study would help conclude what happens when a person who is fully vaccinated with either Covishield or Covaxin would respond to getting the booster dose of the other vaccine. The purpose of the study is also to compare homologous vaccination to heterologous vaccination.

India Logs 5,476 New COVID-19 Cases, 158 Deaths In Last 24 Hours

India reported 5,476 new COVID-19 cases, on March 6. The Union Health Ministry has confirmed 9,754 recoveries and 158 deaths in the last 24 hours. While the active caseload stands at 59,442, taking the total caseload to 4,29,62,953. Furthermore, the current recovery rate in the country stands at 98.66%. However, IIT Kanpur has predicted fourth wave Covid-19 in June. Moreover, as of now, India has administered 178.83 crore vaccine doses.

India Logs 13,166 New COVID Cases, 302 Deaths In Last 24 Hour

India reports 13,166 new COVID-19 cases on February 25. The Union Health Ministry has confirmed 26,988 recoveries, and 302 deaths in the last 24 hours. While the active caseload in India is at 1,34,235, the current recovery rate in the country stands at 98.49%. However, on February 24, Delhi reported 556 Covid-19 cases and six deaths. Moreover, as of now, India has administered 176.86 crore vaccine doses to people.
