Amit Shah Visits UP; Launches Various Projects In Lucknow, Mirzapur
Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited UP on August 1 to lay the foundation stones of Uttar Pradesh Institutes of Forensic Sciences (UPIFS) in Lucknow and Vindhya Corridor in Mirzapur district. According to the official statement, Shah was accompanied by chief minister Yogi Adityanath. Besides, Shah visited Vindhyavasini Temple and also looked into other development initiatives like the ropeway.

Delhi Police Creates Green Corridor For Oxygen Carrying Tankers
The Delhi Police on April 19 created a green corridor to ensure that two tankers carrying 19,500 liters of medical oxygen reach a hospital without any delay. The tankers were travelling from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana borders to the all-COVID Sri Action Balaji Hospital in Pashchim Vihar. Reportedly, the hospital was about to run out of the oxygen and the tankers were needed to reach there at the earliest.

Dedicated Freight Train Corridor: Trial Run Achieves Up To 100 Kmph
For the first time, the Indian Railway has successfully tested its dedicated freight train corridor by operating a freight carrier at a speed of 100 km/h. The test run was completed on the 351-Km stretch of the eastern DFC Bhaupur-Khurja section. Moreover, the train registered an average speed of 70kmph. Reportedly, under the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) Project, two stretches of 1856 Km and 1504 Km are being developed.
