Mafia, Don And Corruption Have No Place In UP: Yogi Adityanath
After the threat call was received, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave a befitting response to the unidentified people. Addressing the media, Yogi said, "There is no place for any mafia dons or criminals in Uttar Pradesh. There is no place for corruption and the corrupt either." Notably, Yogi Adityanath-led BJP started a campaign for the UP Local Body elections, following which he received a threatening call.

Sachin Pilot Ends Hunger Strike, Says Will Continue Fight Against Corruption
Ignoring the warnings of Congress-led Rajasthan Government, Deputy CM Sachin Pilot, observed a one-day fast in Jaipur. He ended the fast in the evening, giving a strong message to Ashok Gehlot, the Rajasthan CM, raising his voice against the rising corruption in the State. Although the hunger strike is over, Pilot is not going to give up with his demand of investigation into all corruption cases, under Vasundhra Raje's tenure.

ACB Conducts Raid At Business Partner Of AAP MLA, Arrests Hamid Ali
The Delhi Police arrested Hamid Ali, the close aide and business partner of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatulla Khan, under the Arms Act. The arrest came a day after MLA Khan was arrested in connection with the Delhi Waqf Board Corruption Case, after an intensive search (raid) by the Anti Corruption Bureau. Moreover, Hamid Ali was also arrested after ACB raid, following which weapons with Rs 12 lakh recovered.

ED Seizes Rs 17 Crore From Kolkata Businessman’s Residence
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a raid at the residence of a Kolkata Businessman and seized Rs 17 crore from 5 trunks. The businessman has been identified as Aamir Khan. The counting of money was accompanied by bank officials and central forces. The counting commenced on September 10 morning, and went on till late at night. Notably, the raid was conducted under the PMLA, 2002.

Deposed Myanmar Leader Aung Suu Kyi's Jail Term Extended By 6 Years
Myanmar's deposed leader Aung San Suu Kyi's jail sentence has been extended by six more years, on August 15. A special court in the capital city of Naypyidaw has found her guilty in four corruption charges. With this, the jail term of the 77-year-old Nobel peace prize laureate comes to 17 years. Assistant Sub-Inspector Arrested For Demanding Bribe In Assam
Assam's Directorate of Vigilance and anti-corruption caught Assistant Sub-Inspector Sabin Pal Das red-handed for demanding bribe, on August 7. The arrested took place after a complaint was filed at Matia police station, alleging that Das demanded bribe for mitigating pending cases. When the complainant found himself unable to pay the bribe, he filed a complaint. Further details are awaited.

ED Conducts Raid At CSI Kerala Diocese, Mateer Memorial Church: Thiruvananthapuram
In Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram, Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids in the premises of Mateer Memorial Church on July 25. Headquarters of the CSI South Kerala diocese were also raided, which houses the office of church Supreme Leader bishop A Dharmaraj Rasalam. The raids have come after the church-run medical College was alleged of corruption. Reportedly, the church was alleged of accepting money to offer admissions.

Drug Inspector's Residence Raided In Patna, Huge Pile Of Cash Seized: Bihar
In Bihar's Patna, Drug Inspector Jitendra Kumar's residence was raidrd in a disproportionate assets case, on June 26. Reportedly, a large pile of cash was seized from his possession, which took the officials several hours to count. The bundles were of all denominations between Rs 100 and Rs 2,000. The officials also found documents of various properties, huge amount of gold and silver, and four luxury cars.
