Uttar Pradesh: Two Cases Of Kappa Variant Of Covid-19 Identified

Uttar Pradesh has reported two cases of Kappa variant of Covid-19. The cases have been confirmed by Lucknow's King George’s Medical College where the genome sequencing of 109 samples took place. Out of these, 107 samples reported the presence of the Delta Plus variant “Both the variants are not new for the state. The facility of genome sequencing is being increased in the state,” said CM Yogi Adityanath.

SC Refuses Bail Extension To Convicts Released Over COVID-19 Outbreak

The Supreme Court on March 1 refused to extend bail to 2,674 prisoners from Delhi who were released to decongest jails, following the COVID-19 outbreak.
