COVID-19 Deaths

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India reported a fresh 1,569 COVID-19 case, 19 deaths, 2,467 recoveries, 3,57,484 coronavirus tests in the last 24 hours. The country reported a fresh 2,202 infection on May 16. India's active cases of COVID-19 stand at 16,400, which is 0.04 per cent of the total cases. Currently, the recovery rate stands at 98.75%.

According to the WHO Regional Office for Europe the cumulative number of confirmed COVID19 cases in the region became 218 million and 2,003,081 COVID-related deaths are reported. Although the numbers of new infections is decreasing in the region, COVID-19 remains a lethal virus, especially for unvaccinated and clinically vulnerable people. WHO Europe urged the broad public to take immediate long term actions on multiple fronts. 

India reported 8,895 new COVID-19 cases, 6,918 recoveries and 2,796 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry on December 5. The sudden spike was recorded in the deaths because Bihar reconciled 2,426 deaths which was adjusted on today's report, as per ANI.
