India Registers 3,805 New Covid-19 Cases, 22 Deaths In 24 Hours: MoHFW
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare India registered 3,805 new Covid-19 cases, 22 deaths, and 3,168 recoveries on May 8. The cases were confirmed after conducting 4,87,544 Covid-19 tests in India. With this, currently, India has 20,303 active cases. In addition, the daily positivity rate is 0.78%, the weekly positivity rate is 0.79%, and the recovery rate in the country is 98.74%.

With this, the active cases tally reduced to 19,68, with approximately 83.98 crore COVID-19 tests. Amid the surge, the positivity rate is below 5% and the recovery rate is 98.74%. Furthermore, the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.79%.

According to the Health Ministry India got 3,205 new Covid19 cases in a single day, 24.8% higher than yesterday. Mizoram reports 44, Maharashtra's Thane got 5 new cases in last 24 hours. 31 Covid-related deaths and 2,802 recoveries are reported and 3,27,327 tests conducted in last 24 hours in the country. India's active COVID19 caseload currently stands at 19,509.
