Mandatory 10-day Quarantine For UK Visitors; Reciprocal Measure By India

India will reciprocate travel measures on all travelers from the UK from October 4. All UK nationals arriving in India from the UK, irrespective of their vaccination status, will have to undertake the following measures: Pre-departure Covid-19 RT-PRC test within 72 hours before travel, Covid-19 RT-PCR test on arrival at the airport. A 10-day quarantine is also mandatory after arriving in India.

Maharashtra Govt Orders Hotels, Pubs To Shut After 11 PM On Dec 31

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on December 30 said the hotels, restaurants and pubs throughout the state will be closed after 11 PM on December 31. "There is no restriction on people stepping out to buy medicines and visiting friends and family members", he added. Earlier, the government had imposed night curfew between 11 PM to 6 AM from December 22 till January 5 citing new strain of the COVID-19.

Man Beaten by Police for not Wearing Face Mask Dies: Andhra Pradesh

A probe has been ordered after the death of a Dalit youth who was allegedly beaten up by the police for not wearing a face mask under the Covid-19 guidelines in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. The victim identified as Yaricharla Kiran Kumar, died due to a head injury. The Chief Minister announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to be given to the family of the deceased.
