BJP President JP Nadda Postpones Bengal Visit Amid COVID-19 Surge

BJP National President JP Nadda cancelled his upcoming visit to West Bengal, on January 5. The decision was taken amid the rising COVID-19 cases and Omicron threat in the state. JP Nadda was scheduled to visit Bengal on January 9 to 10. "Fresh dates for his visit will be announced on due course," said the West Bengal BJP unit. Meanwhile, West Bengal reported over 9,000 new COVID-19 cases.

EC Moves Madras HC To Stop Media From Reporting Oral Observations

Following Madras High Court’s remark of pressing "murder charges" on the Election Commission, the poll body has moved to the apex court to stop media from reporting oral observations.
