The Centre has notified the states and union territories to keep all COVID-19 Vaccination Centres (CVCs) open throughout April, including holidays. Reportedly, the step is taken to reduce the number of cases, which has seen a spike since March. Besides, the Ministry claimed that the process is carefully monitored and the vaccinated were kept under continuous observation to avoid further mishaps.

The Centre’s Subject Expert Committee has recommended to remove the "clinical trial mode" label from the Bharat Biotech’s COVID-19 vaccine, Covaxin. Reportedly, if the recommendation is considered by the Drugs Controller General of India, it will boost the usage of the vaccine. A 100-year-old woman, Mai Handique, on September 16 was discharged from a hospital after recovering from COVID-19. Health officials said that the woman, a resident of a Guwahati-based old-age home, had undergone treatment for coronavirus at the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH). Reportedly, a small celebration was held by the doctors and nurses who appreciated Mai's positive approach towards the situation.

India's first airport coronavirus testing facility has been started at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on September 12. Located at the Terminal-3, the facility aims to ensure safety of passengers entering the city or en route to another flight journey. Reportedly, the passengers have to do online bookings in advance to undergo the COVID-19 tests and the results will be available within 4-6 hours.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the nation on July 27, told that India has tackled the COVID-19 Pandemic crisis better than any other country; and is witnessing expansion in scientific data and resources as well. PM Modi virtually launched COVID-19 testing facilities in Noida, Kolkata and Mumbai. He credited "right decisions taken at the right time" for country's better performance in fight against Coronavirus.

On July 15, a 14-year-old minor girl was sexually assaulted by another patient in a COVID-19 quarantine centre in Delhi. The minor accused a 19-year-old patient at the facility, of sexually assaulting her inside a bathroom, and another 19-year-old of filming the incident. Police told that they have registered a case against the two boys and have arrested them.
Twenty-eight Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel have tested positive for Covid-19 on July 3. "All the positive patients have been sent to the COVID Care Centre in Mashobra," said Narendra Chouhan, Sub-divisional Magistrate of Rampur. Six of them were reported from the Shimla District. Samples were collected a day prior, after which they were sent for further treatment.
Andhra Pradhesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced a new method to fight the battle against covid-19. The instruction is to screen every family and collect samples wherever it is required. '104' Ambulances are to be used with adequate availablity of staff, medicines and equipments required. Those residing in the containment zones and high-risk areas are to be highly prioritized.

Google will allow its users to find nearby authorised COVID-19 testing centres using its Search, Assistant and Maps applications. The search engine is working with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and MyGov. Till now around 700 testing labs across 300 cities have been integrated. This feature is available in nine different languages such as English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
