J&K Govt Kick-Start Children's Vaccination Drive

The first vaccination drive for children between the age group of 15-18 years, was kick-started by government of Jammu & Kashmir on January 3. Officials said that 822 vaccination sites have been set up across twenty districts of the union territory. Additional Chief Secretary of Health & Medical Education Department Vivek Bharadvaj said that it is a special day for Kashmir, as "8.33 lakh children will be vaccinated" in J&K.

Congress Takes Dig At Govt, Asks When Will Vaccinate Remaining 35% People

The Congress took a dig at the opposition over the vaccinated population in India. In regard to this, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said, 35% eligible adult population, 36 crore people are yet to receive second vaccine dose, whereas 11 crore people are to receive first dose against COVID-19. 108 Countries Recognizes India's Covid-19 Certificate For Travel: Govt

Almost 108 countries have recognized India's Covid-19 vaccination for travel purposes. Bharati Pravin Pawar, the Minister of State for Health, informed the Lok Sabha on December 10. 3 Crore Citizens Vaccinated In Maharashtra; Achieves Milestone

A tweet by the Chief Minister’s office stated that the Maharashtra government has achieved a milestone by fully vaccinating more than three crore citizens, as of October 24. Pfizer COVID Vaccine Shows 90.7% Efficacy In children: Report

Pfizer's clinical trial in children from the age of 5 to 11 years was not primarily designed to measure efficacy against the virus. Instead, it compared the amount of neutralizing antibodies induced by the vaccine in children to the response of older recipients in the adult trials. Based on the results the company said that their COVID-19 vaccine induced a robust immune response in children.

2nd Billion Doses Likely To Be Administered In 3-4 Months: Vaccine Panel Chief

According to vaccine panel head Dr NK Arora, India took more than nine months to achieve the one billion milestone. However, the next one billion is expected to be achieved in three to four months. Reportedly, 30% of adults are fully vaccinated. "We think by the end of this year everybody will get at least one dose and there'll be few left for the second dose,'' said Dr. Arora.
