Coca-Cola's Old Unit Turns Into 600-Bed COVID-19 Facility In Kerala
600-Beds COVID-19 facility in Kerala's Palakkad scheduled to open on June 25, will be its second time in the spotlight. The facility is built at a cost of Rs 75 lakh, has 100 oxygen beds, 40 ICU and 10 ventilators. The place, first made headlines when the 34-acres land was chosen to become a Coca-Cola production plant but was abandoned due to public agitation.

Madhya Pradesh: MP Picks Brush To Clean Toilet At COVID Care Centre
A Member of Parliament from Madhya Pradesh, Janardan Mishra, on May 17 hit the headlines when he himself cleaned the toilet of a COVID center in Rewa district. Mishra got angry after witnessing the abysmal condition of the toilet while inspecting the centre. Interestingly, the MP cleaned the toilet before those officials who were responsible for the same. Besides, he warned of strict actions in case of any unhygienic approach.

IAF Builds 100-Bed COVID Care Facility For Civilians In Bangalore
The Indian Air Force on May 4 announced to build a 100-bed COVID-19 Care Center for civilians in Jalahalli, Bangalore. Ensuring availability of 20 beds from May 6, IAF said others will be ready by May 20. While IAF’s Bengaluru Command Hospital will deploy medical staff, a nodal officer from the Karnataka government will coordinate the facility. The facility will be equipped with ICU beds, oxygen concentrators and piped oxygen.
