India's COVID-19 Cases Cross 50k Mark; Omicron Tally Reaches 2,135

India recorded 58,097 new COVID-19 cases, 15,389 recoveries, and 534 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the data of the Union Health Ministry, released on January 4. The total tally of COVID-19's Omicron variant has climbed to 2,135, of which 828 have been recovered. Reportedly, Maharashtra is responsible for 653 Omicron cases, followed by Delhi (464). However, India's cumulative tally of COVID-19 cases stand at 3,43,21,803.

India Records 8,603 COVID-19 Cases, 415 Deaths In Last 24 Hours

India reported 8,603 new COVID-19 cases and 8,190 recoveries in the last 24 hours, said Union Health Ministry on December 4. The 415 new deaths were also recorded in the past 24 hours, taking the total tally to 4,70,530 in the country. The active caseload currently stands at 99,974 which is 0.24% of the total cases. While India's recovery rate stands at 98.35% of the total cases.

India Reports 16,326 New Covid-19 Cases; Recovery Stands At 98.16%

In the latest notification, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on October 23 said that India registered 16,326 new COVID-19 cases and 666 new deaths in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, 17,677 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the percentage to 98.16%, which is the highest since March 2020. However, the active caseload stands at 1,73,728. Besides, the vaccine administration reached over 101.30 crore.
