Maharashtra: Fire At COVID Care Hospital Kills 13 Patients
A fire outbreak in the ICU of Virar's Vijay Vallabh COVID Care hospital has killed at least 13 patients in the wee hours of April 23 in Maharashtra. Reportedly, the fire broke out due to a short circuit in the air-conditioning unit. While fire tenders were called to douse off the fire, an eye witness had claimed that the "hospital did not have any fire safety measure like water sprinklers".

Central Govt To Provide Oxygen Supply At Hospitals Under PM Cares Fund
Amid oxygen scarcity at COVID facilities, the government on April 16 announced that over 100 hospitals will receive oxygen plants funded by the PM cares funds. 2 Private Hospitals Flout COVID-19 Norms in Mumbai; Fined Rs 1 Lakh
Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NNMC) has imposed penalty of Rs 1 Lakh each on Criti Care ICU & Super Speciality Hospital in Airoli and Global 5 Health Care (Kunnure Hospital) in Vashi. Reportedly, the charges have been imposed for violating the COVID-19 protocols and guidelines.
