Punjab Mandates COVID Negative Report, Vaccination Certificate For Entry

The Punjab government on May 2 mandated a COVID-19 negative report of not more than 72 hours or a certificate of vaccine jab taken over two weeks ago to enter the state. The order will applicable on anyone travelling to Punjab through air, rail or road. Besides, it ordered shops selling non-essential commodities to be shut till May 15, and has allowed only 10 people to attend weddings and cremation.

Bengal Mandates COVID Negative Report For Travellers From 4 States

The West Bengal government on February 24 mandated travellers coming from four states to have the COVID-19 negative reports. Applicable from February 27, the passengers travelling through flights from Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, and Telangana will have to present a negative report, owing to the surge in the new COVID-19 cases. Assam: Devotees Allowed In Kamakhya Temple Amid Strict COVID Protocol

Guwahati's Kamakhya Temple reopened on October 11 and devotees were allowed to stay for 15 minutes in the complex. Reportedly, the devotees were directly allowed to enter if they had a maximum three-day old COVID-19 negative report, or were asked to undergo a Rapid Antigen Test before entering the temple. The temple will be opened from 8 AM till evening. However, timings are subject to change in the Navratri period.

COVID Negative Report Mandatory To Meet Karnataka CM

With rising COVID-19 cases in Karnataka, the CM office has directed that anyone meeting CM BS Yediyurappa should produce a COVID-19 negative report or should undergo an RT-PCR test at the gate. However, in case of exigencies, visitors would be allowed to take an antigen test. The move is intended to prevent the coronavirus outbreak. Earlier in August, the CM tested positive for COVID-19, albeit he recovered after nine days.
