Ganga Sagar Mela Commences With Strict Protocols Amid Rising Cases

The Calcutta High Court gave permission to organize Ganga Sagar Mela but with strict Covid-19 protocols. On January 12, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the Ganga Sagar Mela at Gangasagar in WB. Aung San Suu Kyi Awarded 4 Years Of Jail In Myanmar

Former Myanmar's PM Aung Sann Suu Kyi and President Win Myint have been awarded four years of jail by the country's court on December 6. They were sentenced to two years' for inciting dissent against the military and two years' imprisonment for breaking Covid protocol, said Zaw Min Tun, Junta spokesman. However, the 76-year-old Suu Kyi has been in detention since February 1 after the military coup.

Punjab Police Files An FIR Against Former Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal

An FIR was lodged against Sukhbir Singh Badal, the president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) after violating the COVID-19 protocols. Reportedly, the former deputy CM had organized a party at his house gathering 100-150 people. Lambi Police station officials have booked him under IPC section 188. Former MLA Harpreet Singh and Robin Brar, the Chief of Students Organization of India have also been booked under the same.

Delhi Police Lodges FIR Against 4 Airlines For Violating COVID Norms

Four airlines - IndiGo, Vistara, SpiceJet, and AirAsia - have been slapped with an FIR by the Delhi Police on April 18 as they allegedly ferried passengers from Maharashtra without checking their RT-PCR reports. They have been booked under the Delhi Disaster Management Authority's regulations. Earlier, the DDMA had made it mandatory for all Delhi-bound flyers from Maharashtra to furnish a COVID-19 negative report first.

DCGA Urges To Deboard Passengers If COVID-19 Protocols Violated
