The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare shared on 7th May that over 18.64 crore unutilised Covid vaccine doses are still available with states and Union Territories. More than 193.53 crore doses have been provided to the states and the UTs so far through the Government of India, the Union Health Ministry noted. In Mumbai, a man was arrested by the Dharavi Police for selling fake COVID-19 vaccination certificates, who has been identified as Francis Nadar. Reportedly, he sold many fake certificates to people, who were not vaccinated against COVID-19. ''The 36-year-old accused selling fake COVID-19 vaccination certificates for Rs 1,000 has been arrested...on January 5,'' said Pranaya Ashok, Mumbai Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
