Around 18.64 Crore Unutilised Covid Vaccine Doses Available With States, UTs
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare shared on 7th May that over 18.64 crore unutilised Covid vaccine doses are still available with states and Union Territories. More than 193.53 crore doses have been provided to the states and the UTs so far through the Government of India, the Union Health Ministry noted. India COVID-19 Active Case Decline With 2.86 Lakh New Cases
India COVID-19 infection reported decline in active cases with 2,86,384 fresh cases. As of January 27, there are 22,02,472 active cases. Man Arrested For Selling Fake COVID-19 vaccination Certificates: Mumbai
In Mumbai, a man was arrested by the Dharavi Police for selling fake COVID-19 vaccination certificates, who has been identified as Francis Nadar. Reportedly, he sold many fake certificates to people, who were not vaccinated against COVID-19. ''The 36-year-old accused selling fake COVID-19 vaccination certificates for Rs 1,000 has been arrested...on January 5,'' said Pranaya Ashok, Mumbai Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).

India Records 6,822 New COVID-19 Cases, Lowest In 558 Days
India reported 6,822 new COVID-19 cases, 10,004 recoveries, and 220 deaths in the past 24 hours, said the Union Health Ministry on December 7. The new cases are said to be the lowest in 558 days in the country, reported ANI. India's active cases stand at 95,014, which is reported to be the lowest in 554 days. Besides, India administered over 128.76 crore vaccine doses so far.
