Covovax Is Available For Children Above 12 years: Adar Poonawala
Covovax (Novovax) is now available for children above the age of 12 years and adults in India, confirmed the Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawala, on May 4. This is the only vaccine manufactured in India and also sold in Europe, with an efficiency of 90%. Last year December government cleared Covovax for restricted use in an emergency situation for COVID-19 hit patients in India.

DCGI Provides EUA Approval To SII Manufactured Covovax For 12-17 Year Old
The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) approved the Serum Institute of India's (SII) Covovax for children between 12-year to 17-year-old. However, the Emergency Use Authorisation came with certain conditions. Previously Covovax was given approval for restricted usage amongst adult.
