Bhopal BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur has claimed that drinking cow urine prevents lung infection and helps fight COVID-19. In a viral video, unmasked MP Pragya was seen claiming to a gathering ‘I drink it (cow urine) every day. That is why I do not have coronavirus right now. Reportedly, the controversial statement came despite Indian Medical Association’s clarification on no scientific use of ‘gaumutra’ in COVID-19 treatment.

Doctors and scientists are giving serious warnings to Indians who are resorting to cow dung and urine as COVID-19 safety measure, citing proliferation of other illnesses. In what could be called as an unusual order, Madhya Pradesh General Administration Department has directed every government office to get cleaned with cow urine phenyl instead of chemical phenyl. Reportedly, the decision was taken by the 'cow cabinet' of the state. The move is intended to promote setting up of bottling plant of cow urine and cow phenyl.
