Dale Steyn Slams IPL As Money Oriented; Claims PSL More Rewarding

South African cricketer Dale Steyn has said that playing in Pakistan Super League was more rewarding than the coveted Indian Premier League. Mentioning the tournament’s importance, the medium-pacer explained that while IPL puts too much focus on money, the PSL or Sri Lankan Premier League lays much stress on the game. Currently pulled out of IPL 2021, Steyn has played 95 IPL matches, of which he played only 12 matches since 2015.

1st ODI Between South Africa-England Postponed As Player Tests COVID+

Just before the first ODI match between South Africa and England on December 3 was about to begin, a player from the former's camp tested positive for COVID-19. Citing this development, the match was cancelled immediately and is rescheduled to December 6. However, the name was the player was not disclosed by officials. Earlier, two Proteas players were ruled out of the series after testing positive for COVID-19.

South Africa's Cricket Team Likely To Tour Pakistan First Time Since 2007

Cricket South Africa (CSA) on October 27 announced that it is exploring the possibilities to visit Pakistan in 2021. If all goes same as per the reports, it will become South Africa's first visit to Pakistan since 2007. Reportedly, CSA officials will visit Pakistan soon to assess security arrangements. In the meantime, South Africa will be having back-to-back home series against England, Sri Lanka, Australia and Pakistan till April.
