In a shocking incident, a police constable was shot dead by bike-borne assailants in Bihar's Vaishali district. According to an eyewitness, the incident took place when Amitabh Kumar, posted at Sarai police station, was checking vehicles near UCO bank at Sarai Bazar Chowk on October 16. As per an eyewitness, "one of the miscreants opened fire on the police team." This is second incident of police being target.

Rahul Sharma, the priest in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain, who came to the rescue of a 12-year-old rape survivor, has described the horrifying state she was in when he found her. Rahul Sharma who works with an ashram in Badnagar road said, "I gave her my clothes. She was bleeding. She could not speak. Her eyes were swollen. I called 100. Police reached the ashram in about 20 minutes."

A Dalit woman was brutally assaulted over a loan in Patna. The victim claimed, the accused stripped her naked, thrashed her and forced her to drink urine. In a shocking incident, a youth was shot dead early morning on September 1. The body was found at one of the residences of Union Minister of State (MoS) and MP Kaushal Kishore, in Begaria area of Dubagga in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The youth, and identified as BJP worker Vinay Srivastava and was shot at his head. Furthermore, sources confirmed weapon as pistol, registered under BJP MP's son.
