Shive Sena's Thane Chief Kedar Dighe Lodged For 'Criminal Intimidation': Maharashtra
Shiv Sena's new Thane district chief Kedar Dighe and his friend Rohit Kapoor has been lodged for alleged criminal intimidation and rape, on August 3. A case under IPC section 506 (criminal intimidation) has been filed against Dighe, and a case under Section 376 (rape) has been filed against Kapoor. Notably, Kedar Dighe is a nephew of Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe, who passed away in August 2001.

Woman Accuses BJP Leader Of Threatening, Registers Criminal Case
A criminal case has been filed against BJP leader Ganesh Naik under Section 506 (2) for criminal intimidation and Section 417 for cheating. The woman alleges that she had been in a relationship with the BJP leader for several years and that they even had a son together. Naik had, however, started to avoid her, and had declined to give her any marital rights. She was also met with threats.
