Allahabad HC Directs Parliament, Election Commission To Remove Criminals From Politics

Allahabad High Court directed the Parliament and the Election Commission of India (ECI) to take proactive measures to "remove criminals from politics" and destroy the corrupt link between criminals, politicians, and bureaucrats. The remarks were made while refusing bail for BSP MP Atul Kumar Singh a.k.a. Atul Rai. The Lucknow police had charged Rai with aiding in the suicide of a girl and her witness outside the Supreme Court.

7 Vehicles Involved In Sand Mining Set Ablaze By Naxals in Chhattisgarh

Seven vehicles involved in sand mining in Chhattisgarh were set ablaze by Naxals on April 18. IG P Sundarraj shared that while sand mining was underway in the Minagachal river, about seven of the vehicles involved in the process were set ablaze by the Naxals. He specified that the vehicles included 4 Hyva trucks and two JCBs. More details about the incident are awaited as investigation is currently underway.

2 Arrested For Revenge Killing Of Employer's 8 Year Old Child: UP

UP police reportedly arrested two sacked employees Nijam and Shaheed, for kidnapping and murder of an 8-year-old. The two employees who used to work with a doctor in UP,  kidnapped and brutally killed the child, and dumped the body at Chhatari Police Station. The act was to take revenge on the doctor, who allegedly sacked them for error during work. The accused confessed to their crimes. Further investigation is underway.

BSP Won't Give Tickets To Criminals In UP Election: Mayawati

In the latest development before the UP assembly election, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has on September 10 announced that her party won't give tickets to those who have a criminal background. ''If the BSP government is formed in the state then strict action would be taken against such elements," Mayawati added. Notably, her decision came after BSP MLA Mafia Mukhtar Ansari's brother joined the Samajwadi Party.
