Crocodile Swallows 10-Year-Old Boy While Bathing In Chambal River, MP

A crocodile swallowed a 10-year-old child while bathing in the Chambal river in Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh on July 11. Locals notified his family instantly and captured the crocodile. An alligator department team and a police squad arrived on the scene and attempted to rescue the crocodile from people. However, the boy's family refused, hoping the boy would be alive in the crocodile's stomach but people released the crocodile later on.

60-Yr-Old Australian Man Uses Pocket Knife To Fight Massive Crocodile

Officials stated on November 10 that a 60-year-old Australian man escaped the jaws of a big crocodile by slashing it in the head multiple times with a pocket knife as it pulled him into the river. According to wildlife police, the man was "lucky to be alive" after surviving the harrowing assault on an isolated riverbank in Australia's far-northern Peninsula. "He, fortunately, escaped the grip of a four-meter crocodile," official stated.

Younger Brother Saves Brother's Life From Crocodile In UP's Pilibhit

In Uttar Pradesh's Philibhit district, Neeraj (16) saved his elder brother Vikas' (17) life from an adult crocodile by distracting its attention. The incident happened on November 5 when both the brother were washing their hands at an irrigation canal. The crocodile reportedly grabbed Vikas' leg and started dragging him towards the canal. Meanwhile, Neeraj used a big stone to throw at the croc to save Vikas.

Crocodile Rips Off Security Guard's Leg; Rushed To Hospital

A security guard’s leg was ripped off by a crocodile while he was crossing the Sharda canal, located in UP’s Lakhimpur Kheri near Dudhwa forest. Several people came to his rescue and freed him from the crocodile’s grab. The injured was taken to the government hospital and was later transported to a higher medical hospital in Lucknow. In the last two months, four people have been killed by crocodiles.

Crocodile Census: Vadodara Houses 1,000 Reptiles; Most In Gujarat

With over 1000 members, Vadodara becomes home to the highest number of crocodiles in Gujarat as per the first reptile census. Besides, the recent report revealed that the number of crocodiles in the Vishwamitri river has also increased by four times in the past two decades. While the number includes both adults and baby crocodiles, their presence has been reported in Dhadar and Dev rivers, including around 50 ponds in the district.
